Pete Mathews Coliseum

Pete Mathews Coliseum

Jacksonville State's home for men's and women's basketball and volleyball is Pete Mathews Coliseum, a 5,500-seat multipurpose facility that meets the growing needs of the University and its Athletics Department. The Coliseum was opened in 1974 and underwent a complete renovation in 1987. A new wooden playing surface was installed, as were 850 cushioned, char-backed seats. The sound system, dance studio, weight room and locker rooms were also refurbished.
