Th Jacksonville State soccer team began play on the JSU Soccer Field in the Fall of 2003 after the new field was built beyond the left field wall of Rudy Abbott Field, between the baseball stadium and Pete Mathews Coliseum. The facility, which has bleachers, as well as hillside seating, had a new natural surface installed in the summer of 2008.
The team's locker room, which is located in the adjacent Pete Mathews Coliseum, was renovated in 2007.
