2009 OUTLOOK: Finished the spring as the starter in the Gamecock defensive backfield…will also see playing time on the special teams…worked hard to improve his skills in the spring.    

JSU CAREER:
2008: Saw action in all 11 games as a sophomore for the Gamecocks and was in the starting lineup for all but one…was fourth on the team in tackles after totaling 42, 25 solo and two for a loss…broke up seven passes, tied for the ninth-highest single-season total in JSU’s Division I history…registered two solo tackles, both tackles for loss, against Tennessee State (11/15)...also blocked a field goal in the first quarter that was returned for a touchdown by Andrew Ridgeway...had four assisted tackles and a pass deflection against Tennessee Tech (11/8)...credited with six tackles, five solos, in the Austin Peay game (11/1)...recorded five tackles, three solos, and a pass deflection against UT Martin (10/23)...registered four solo tackles against Murray State (10/18)...had one solo tackle, a pass break up, a forced fumble and returned an interception 41 yards to set up a JSU touchdown that tied the game 14-14 in the second quarter against Eastern Kentucky (10/11)...leading tackler with five solo stops and a fumble recovery against Southeast Missouri (10/4)...made his second start of the season with one solo tackle against Eastern Illinois (9/27)...had two tackles and one pass breakup in his first start of the season against Chattanooga (9/20)..set a new career-high with nine tackles, seven solo, and had one pass breakup against Alabama A&M (9/6)...started at cornerback in the season opener versus Georgia Tech (8/28), recorded three assisted tackles.
 
2007: Appeared in 10 of the Gamecocks’ 11 games as a freshman…finished the campaign with 33 tackles, 25 solo, a fumble recovery and a team-high-tying two interceptions…broke up four passes, which was third on the squad and totaled 53 interception return yards, which was the second-highest total on the team…returned first career interception for a touchdown in his first career game at Alabama State on Sept. 1...had five tackles, four solo, vs. Eastern Kentucky on Sept. 22...had a career-high seven tackles, six solo, and one fumble recovery at Murray State on Sept. 28...had five tackles vs UT Martin on Oct. 4...Had six tackles and one behind the line of scrimmage vs Tennessee Tech on oct. 20...had one interception, which he returned 35 yards, and a pair of tackles at Samford on Nov. 3.

2006: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Larry Ginn at Alexandria High School…was a first-team All-State selection as a senior after finishing with 1,012 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns…also recorded 82 tackles on defense and six interceptions, two touchdowns and one punt return for a score…was a two-time All-Area and All-Region performer…helped the Valley Cubs post a 12-2 record in 2005, 11-3 in 2004 and 12-2 in 2003…also lettered in basketball, where he was the Calhoun County Tournament Most Valuable Player after helping the Valley Cubs to the county title…helped team to a 19-5 record as a senior, where he earned first-team All-State honors and also All-Area and All-Region honors…was an honor student and named Who’s Who Among American High School Students.

PERSONAL: Full name is Lee Anthony Heath, Jr.…son of Joe and Margie Bradford…born on September 11, 1987…has one older sister, Tawanna…major is undeclared at JSU.
